The Design
The center stone is a Heart cut: a rounded outline with a cleft at the top, a point at the base, and the two lobes matching either side of the center line. The band is pave, small diamonds set into the metal, running three quarters of the way around and then stopping. Past the last stone the band is plain back to where it began. The band does what the bend does at Verona: it closes for the greater part of the way around and leaves one side open. The displayed price is the complete ring, center stone and setting together.
The Story of Verona
A river's bend around an old town, open on one side
The Valley Mouth
The Adige is the second longest river in Italy, after the Po. It rises near Lake Resia at about 1,550 meters and runs some 410 kilometers. Verona sits at the point where it comes out of the mountains onto the Po plain, at 59 meters. The ground across the city runs from about 30 meters on the plain to over 600 in the foothills. The southern spurs of the Lessini border the city on the north. South of the river the plain opens and stays level.
The Double Bend
At Verona the Adige does not run straight through. It turns back on itself, twice. Borgo Trento sits in the first bend, with the water running along its south and east, and the old town sits on the opposite bank, inside the bend below it. What the two bends leave is a pair of rounded lobes of ground facing each other across a single channel. On 17 September 1882 the river put more than two thirds of Verona under water, standing 4.5 meters above the warning mark at Ponte Pietra. The channel through the city was walled with stone embankments in the years after.
The Diamond
A Heart is a modified brilliant. Its facets follow the round brilliant's plan, radiating from the center rather than running in the parallel rows of a step cut. The count is not fixed for the shape: cutters vary the pavilion, so no single number describes a Heart. The cleft at the top and the point at the base are the two places the curve breaks. The cleft has to sit on the center line and the two lobes have to match exactly. Length against width is the cutter's choice, and it sets whether the outline is wide or long. Every center stone is lab-grown and IGI-certified, D color, VVS clarity.
The Open Side
The bend does most of the enclosing, but not all of it. The water holds the old town for the greater part of its outline and then stops, and the ground carries on past it toward the plain. The Arena stands on that open side, about 70 to 80 meters beyond the Republican walls, facing the corner those walls made on the south. It went up outside the city because the ground inside was already built up. The pave on this band does the same thing: the stones run three quarters of the way around and stop, and the rest of the band is plain.
The Red Stone
The limestone in the hills behind the city is Jurassic seabed. It is nodular: pale lumps of calcite in a darker matrix, stained through pink and red by oxidized iron. It carries ammonites, mostly as internal molds left where the shell dissolved and the rock filled the coil. The Arena is built from it, squared blocks in both the pink variant and the white. The amphitheater measures 152.43 by 123.23 meters. Its outer ring was three tiers of arcading in the same stone until the earthquake of 3 January 1117 brought down what was left of it. Four arches still stand.

Ask us anything
The diamonds
Is a lab-grown diamond actually a diamond?
Yes. A lab-grown diamond is pure crystallized carbon with the same physical, chemical and optical properties as one formed in the earth: the same fire, the same brilliance, the same hardness. It tests as a diamond on a jeweler’s tester, and every Beylora center stone is independently certified, so it is verified, not just promised.
Will anyone be able to tell?
No. To the eye, a lab-grown diamond is indistinguishable from a natural one. They share the same structure and catch light the same way. Telling them apart takes specialized equipment in a gemological laboratory, not a glance across a room.
Are they ethical and conflict-free?
We believe responsible sourcing deserves clear answers. Beylora uses lab-grown diamonds. Lab-grown origin describes how a diamond was made; it is not, by itself, proof of worker protections, energy use or the origin of the ring’s metals. Contact us for the sourcing information available for your ring.
What is your diamond quality standard?
Every Beylora engagement-ring center diamond is lab-grown, D color and VVS clarity (VVS1 or VVS2), with Excellent polish and Excellent symmetry. D is the highest grade on the D-to-Z color scale. VVS inclusions are very difficult for a trained grader to see at 10× magnification.
Your individual IGI report records your center diamond’s grades and measurements. Use the report number to check the record at igi.org; an overall cut grade is stated only when the report supports it.
Accent diamonds are lab-grown. The IGI report covers the center diamond.
Which laboratory grades your diamonds, and can I check it myself?
Each engagement-ring center diamond has its own IGI report. Enter the report number on igi.org to check the recorded identity, grades and measurements. An individual report describes the center stone; it does not grade the complete ring or certify sourcing practices. How to read an IGI report.
Why do you show a cut grade on some rings and not others?
We show an overall cut grade only where the center diamond's grading report supports it. IGI grades the cut of round brilliants and fancy shapes, so the individual report is what matters. Polish and symmetry are separate grades; Beylora's lab-grown center diamonds have Excellent polish and Excellent symmetry.
For round brilliants, IGI’s cut scale runs Ideal, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor. For fancy shapes, the cut scale runs Excellent to Poor. Polish and symmetry each run Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor. Check the report for your center diamond. If its overall cut grade is not listed, we do not infer one from the finish grades.
The price
Is the price I see really the whole ring, or do costs get added later?
The price you see is the complete ring. The center stone, any accent stones, and the setting are all included together, with nothing added to the ring at checkout or after. We price it this way on purpose: no one should get to checkout and watch the number climb. The only things checkout can add are sales tax and, only if you choose it, $300 Rush delivery. What a complete-ring price includes.
The price seems low for a diamond ring. Is it too good to be true?
It’s a fair question, and the answer is simple: growing a diamond costs a fraction of what it takes to find and mine one, so the same D color, VVS clarity stone reaches you for less, with nothing about the diamond compromised. We did not choose a price and then find a diamond to fit it. We chose the grade first and then built the ring around it. Our rings start at $1,500 for the complete ring, stone and setting together. What a 2 carat lab-grown ring costs.
Can I pay over time?
Yes. Pay in full or choose a flexible payment plan with Shop Pay. Most ring plans carry interest; your rate comes from a quick eligibility check that does not affect your credit score. You’ll see your exact rate and monthly payment at checkout before you commit, and you can pay it off early at any time. Paying over time changes nothing about her ring: we make it with the same care, and it ships complete, never held back waiting on a final payment.
Rates from 0-36% APR. Payment options through Shop Pay Installments are subject to an eligibility check and are provided by these lending partners: affirm.com/lenders. Options depend on your purchase amount, and a down payment may be required. State notices to consumers: affirm.com/licenses.
If you finance your purchase with Affirm, your first payment is due approximately two weeks after your purchase is finalized. Please note that due to extended delivery times, your loan payment(s) may be due before you receive your purchase.
Your ring
How long until I receive my ring?
Each ring is made to order, which takes about 30 days from the day you order to the day it arrives: the time it takes to set your diamond into the metal you chose, made for you rather than pulled from a shelf. If you need it by a certain day, choose Rush at checkout: your ring is made and delivered by express in about 15 days, for $300. A Rush ring is the same ring, made to the same standards; your order simply goes first.
Which metals can I choose from?
Beylora offers 14k white gold, 14k yellow gold, 18k white gold, 18k yellow gold and platinum. Karat describes the gold content: 14k is about 58.3% gold; 18k is 75%. Start with the color you prefer, then compare the complete price for the same design and size.
For example, a complete 2-carat Bellagio is $1,800 in 14k white gold, $2,300 in 18k white gold, or $2,500 in platinum, before tax and optional Rush.
If you have a metal sensitivity or care question, ask us about the exact alloy and finish before choosing.
How do I get the ring size right?
If the ring is for your own hand, any jeweler can size you in minutes, or use the measurement chart in our ring sizing guide. Buying it as a surprise? The same guide has three quiet ways to find her size without asking, and conversions from other countries’ sizing systems. Get as close as you can and don’t let it worry you: a size that’s slightly off is a small adjustment, and your first resize comes with $100 from us.
What if it doesn’t fit? Can it be resized?
Yes. If the fit isn’t quite right, the ring can be resized, and we send you $100 toward it at any jeweler you choose, one resize per ring. A trusted local jeweler is usually the quickest. Sizing a surprise is tricky for everyone, so get as close as you can and don’t let it worry you: a size that’s slightly off is a small adjustment, not a mistake. See our policies for the details.
After you order
What if my ring breaks?
Your ring is covered by the Beylora Lifetime Guarantee, our lifetime warranty, included with every ring. If something happens to your ring, whether a bent prong or a center diamond that chips or falls out, we’ll repair it or replace it. You can use it once, at any point in the ring’s life, and you only pay shipping both ways. There are no inspections or cleanings to keep up. The one thing it doesn’t cover is a ring that’s lost or stolen; that’s what jewelry insurance is for. The moment something feels loose or bent, stop wearing it and email marketing@beylora.com that day with your order number and a photo, and we’ll send instructions. See how it compares.
Separately, if a ring arrives damaged or isn’t what you ordered, we put it right at no cost, and that doesn’t use your guarantee. See our policies for the full details.
Can I track my order while I wait?
Yes. You can follow your ring the whole way: open Track Order at the bottom of any page, sign in with your email, and your order and its status are right there. Check in as often as you like.
What is your return policy?
If your ring isn’t quite right, you can return it within 30 days of the day it arrives, with a 20% restocking fee deducted from the refund. That fee is for a change of mind: if anything is wrong with the ring when it reaches you, we repair it, replace it, or refund you in full, and no fee is taken. The optional $300 Rush fee is nonrefundable on change-of-mind returns. We want you to see it in person, in your own light, before you decide it’s the one. Just reach out and we’ll walk you through it. The full details, including your prepaid return label, are in our refund policy.
How does my ring ship?
Your ring ships within the United States with full tracking, so you can follow it the whole way to your door. Standard shipping is free and fully insured, and your ring arrives about 30 days from the day you order; with Rush at checkout, about 15. We ask for a signature at delivery, so it’s never left sitting on a doorstep.

Timing
I'm proposing on a specific date. When do I need to order?
Order about 30 days before the date, or about 15 days before with Rush at checkout ($300). The ring page shows the arrival date for an order placed today. If your date is closer than that, email marketing@beylora.com before you order and we will tell you honestly whether we can make it.
Can I get an engagement ring in two weeks?
Rush is estimated at about 15 days total: about 14 days to make your ring, then next-day express delivery, for $300. If your proposal is in two weeks or sooner, contact us before ordering to check the timing. Rush uses the same diamond standards and ring design.
Will the package give away the surprise?
No. Your ring arrives in discreet outer packaging that gives nothing away, and a signature is required at delivery, so it is never left on a doorstep.
