The Design
The center is a Round cut, the most studied shape in jewelry, engineered through fifty-seven or fifty-eight precise facets to return the most light a diamond can give. Its perfect circle has no front or back, no weaker side. Turn it any way and it answers the same, the way the tide returns to Jeju's shallows on every breath the sea women take. We chose the round for this ring because the island is ringed by water and the diver always comes back up. A shape with no edge to catch on, made to be lived in and worn close, light gathering in it the way dawn gathers on the crater rim.
The Story of Jeju
Where black lava meets the cold green shallows the divers call home
The Sea Women
For centuries the haenyeo, the sea women of Jeju, have dropped into the cold green shallows on a single breath, gathering abalone and urchin from the rock below. The first written records of female divers here come from the 1600s, and women took over the work in that century. UNESCO named their culture a heritage of humanity in 2016. They surface, they breathe, they go back down. A devotion measured in lifetimes.
The Ho-Oi Breath
When a haenyeo breaks the surface she releases the sumbisori, a long whistling breath that sounds like ho-oi, ho-oi across the water. It is how she clears her lungs, and how the women diving together know one another is safe. If the breath does not come, something is wrong. Love, too, is a sound you learn to listen for, the proof that the other one has come up again.
The Diamond
The Round cut is the clearest test a diamond can face. With nothing hidden at the corners, its symmetry and fire are fully exposed, which is why it is cut with such exactness. Every Beylora diamond is lab-grown and IGI-certified, F color and above for that cold-water clarity, VS2 and above so the stone reads clean. Hold it to the early Jeju light, the kind that comes off the green shallows at Seongsan, and it answers from the center out. Like the divers' whistled breath carrying across the water, it is proof, plainly given, that something true has surfaced.
Born of Fire and Water
Jeju is the low crest of a dormant shield volcano, rising some three thousand meters from the ocean floor, more than ninety percent of it dark basalt. Seongsan Ilchulbong, the Sunrise Peak, formed about five thousand years ago when rising magma met cold seawater and built a tuff cone above the waves. Fire and water, meeting and holding. The island is what they made together.
The Grandmother's Skirt
Jeju tells of Seolmundae Halmang, the giant grandmother who made the island by carrying earth in the folds of her skirt and pouring it into the sea. The handfuls became some three hundred sixty oreum, the small green cones that freckle the land, the highest concentration of such cones on Earth. The last and tallest she raised was Hallasan, and she lay down to rest with the mountain for her pillow.

The diamonds
Are lab-grown diamonds real diamonds, or are they fake?
They are real diamonds, completely. A lab-grown diamond is pure crystallized carbon with the same physical, chemical, and optical properties as one formed in the earth: the same fire, the same brilliance. It tests as a real diamond, and every Beylora stone is independently certified, so it’s verified, not just promised.
Will anyone be able to tell it’s lab-grown?
No. To the eye, a lab-grown diamond is indistinguishable from a natural one. They share the same structure and catch light the same way. Telling them apart takes specialized equipment in a gemological laboratory, not a glance across a room.
Are lab-grown diamonds ethical and conflict-free?
Yes. Your diamond was grown in a lab, not pulled from the earth. No mine, no conflict, and nothing in its history you’d rather not know. For many of the people who choose Beylora, knowing exactly where their diamond came from is part of why it means so much.
What is your diamond quality standard?
Every Beylora diamond is F color and above and VS2 clarity and above: bright, white, with no inclusions visible to the eye. Every single stone is hand-selected and triple-checked before it is set. Then it is independently certified, so the quality is documented, not just described.
Which certifications do you use, and why are they the best?
Every Beylora diamond carries its own IGI certificate, graded independently, stone by stone. IGI grades with no stake in the sale, to the strictest global standards, which is exactly why jewelers and collectors trust it.
The price
Is the price I see really the whole ring, or do costs get added later?
The price you see is the complete ring. The center stone, the accent stones, and the setting are all included together, with nothing added to the ring at checkout or after. We price it this way on purpose: no one should get to checkout and watch the number climb. What’s shown is what you pay.
The price seems low for a real diamond ring. Is it too good to be true?
It’s a fair question, and the answer is simple: a lab-grown diamond costs far less to create than one pulled from the earth, so the same F-color-and-above, VS2-clarity-and-above stone reaches you for less, with nothing about the diamond compromised. Our rings start at $1,800 for the complete ring, which is simply what a diamond ring costs when the stone is grown instead of mined.
Can I pay over time?
Yes. You’ll find pay-over-time options at checkout, and you can spread the payments in whatever way fits your life. Paying over time changes nothing about her ring: we make it with the same care, and it ships complete, never held back waiting on a final payment.
Your ring
How long until I receive my ring?
Each ring is made to order, which takes about 45 days from the day you order to the day it arrives: the time it takes to set your diamond into the metal you chose, made for you rather than pulled from a shelf. If you have a date to meet, a rush option is available.
Which metals can I choose from?
Every ring is offered in white gold, yellow gold, and platinum, so you can match the metal to her everyday style. White gold and platinum read cool and bright; yellow gold is warmer and classic. If you’re unsure which she’d love, reach out and we’ll help.
What if it doesn’t fit? Can it be resized?
Yes. If the fit isn’t quite right, the ring can be resized, and we send you $100 toward it at any jeweler you choose, one resize per ring. A trusted local jeweler is usually the quickest. Sizing a surprise is tricky for everyone, so get as close as you can and don’t let it worry you: a size that’s slightly off is a small adjustment, not a mistake. See our policies for the details.
After you order
What if my ring breaks?
Wear it without a second thought. If your ring ever breaks, send it back and we’ll remake it for life, at a craftsmanship fee of 25% of what you paid. See our policies for the full details.
Can I track my order while I wait?
Yes. You can follow your ring the whole way: open Track Order at the bottom of any page, sign in with your email, and your order and its status are right there. Check in as often as you like.
What is your return policy?
If your ring isn’t quite right, you can return it within 15 days of the day it arrives. We want you to see it in person, in your own light, before you decide it’s the one. Just reach out and we’ll walk you through it.
How does my ring ship?
Your ring ships within the United States with full tracking, so you can follow it the whole way to your door. Shipping is free and fully insured, and because each ring is made to order, it leaves us once it’s finished, usually around the 45-day mark. We ask for a signature at delivery, so it’s never left sitting on a doorstep.
