Every center stone we set is lab-grown, D color, the very top of the diamond scale, and VVS clarity, where inclusions take a trained grader and ten times magnification to find and your eye will never see one.
Every center stone hand-selected, triple-checked, and independently certified by IGI.
Where this diamond sits, on the industry scales
Where this lab-grown diamond sits, on the scales the industry grades by.
D is completely colorless, the first letter of the scale. The common retail standard is F or G.
Every certificate reads VVS1 or VVS2. The two grades above look identical to the eye and sell for roughly twice the price. VS and SI, below, are where most retailers set their standard.
The top of the polish and symmetry scale, and both read Excellent on every certificate.
Set by hand, finished by hand, and stamped inside with your ring’s own number.

The light, live
What you’re seeing when it catches the light.
- Brilliancethe white light it returns to your eye
- Firewhite light split into sparks of color
- Scintillationthe flicker of the facets as it moves
This radiant packs brilliant facets into cropped corners; the liveliest square.
The science of the combination
Four grades, each taken to its physical limit.
- Diamond, the given n = 2.42 · θc ≈ 24.4° light enters, and cannot fall out
- Dispersion, the given nF − nC = 0.044 white light tears into fire
- D color absorption → 0 the spectrum returns whole
- VVS clarity scattering → 0 nothing in the ray’s path
- Excellent polish & symmetry roughness → 0 · Δθ → 0 mirrors true beyond the eye
- Lab-grown C · sp³ identical lattice, identical light
Past these grades, refinement exists only on paper.
The Design
A three stone ring with real weight to it. The band is substantial, sized to carry three diamonds, and the three are set in a deliberate order: a radiant cut at the center, rectangular with trimmed corners and faceted for brilliance, and a pear cut on each side, smaller than the center and longer than it is wide. The large stone carries the view, and the two pears finish the composition on either side, the way the small islands finish the view off Stone Town. The displayed price is the complete ring, center stone and setting together.
The Story of Zanzibar
A coral-stone town on a low island, sails out in the channel
The Low Island
Unguja, the main island of the Zanzibar archipelago, is low ground. Its highest point stands about 120 meters, and most of the island lies well beneath that, flat land planted in the clove trees the archipelago is known for. The beaches are sand fringed with coral reef, and the water over the reef lies shallow. The Tanzanian mainland sits across a channel roughly thirty to thirty-seven kilometers wide.
The Carved Doors
Stone Town takes its name from what it is made of. The town is built of coral stone, which gives it a warm reddish color. Its best known feature is its doors: heavy wooden doors with carved frames, the Indian type rounded at the top and studded with brass, the Omani Arab type strictly rectangular. The center stone rests on the same plan as the Omani door: this radiant is rectangular. The door concentrates its carving in the frame and leaves its panels plain; the stone works the other way, breaking its whole face into small angled facets rather than the long parallel steps of an emerald cut.
The Diamond
The center diamond is lab-grown and IGI-certified, D color, VVS clarity. It is a radiant cut in its rectangular form: the outline is a rectangle with trimmed corners, and the face is cut in small brilliant facets rather than long steps, so it stays lively rather than quiet. The pear side stones are lab-grown diamonds as well. A lab-grown diamond is a diamond in every physical respect, grown above ground instead of mined, and the IGI certificate that accompanies the center stone documents its cut, color, and clarity, so the grades stated here are the grades that arrive.
The Dhow Sails
The working boat of this coast is the dhow, and its rig is old: a long yard mounted at an angle on the mast, carrying a lateen sail, which is a triangle. The winter monsoon carried dhows south from Arabia to this coast, and the winds of late spring carried them home. The lateen holds its width at one end of the yard and is drawn to a point at the other. A pear cut is that figure softened: broad and rounded at one end, drawn to a single point at the other. This ring carries one on each side of its center.
The Islands Offshore
Small islands stand in the channel off Stone Town. Changuu lies 5.6 kilometers northwest of the town, about 800 meters long and 230 meters across at its widest, several times longer than it is wide; Bawe and Chapwani sit in the same water. The arrangement is a large body of land attended by small elongated ones. The ring is composed the same way: a large radiant at the center and, at each side, a smaller stone that is itself elongated, the two pears attending the center as the islets attend the island off Stone Town.

The diamonds
Is a lab-grown diamond actually a diamond?
Yes. A lab-grown diamond is pure crystallized carbon with the same physical, chemical and optical properties as one formed in the earth: the same fire, the same brilliance, the same hardness. It tests as a diamond on a jeweler’s tester, and every Beylora center stone is independently certified, so it is verified, not just promised.
Will anyone be able to tell?
No. To the eye, a lab-grown diamond is indistinguishable from a natural one. They share the same structure and catch light the same way. Telling them apart takes specialized equipment in a gemological laboratory, not a glance across a room.
Are they ethical and conflict-free?
Yes. Your diamond was grown in a lab, not pulled from the earth. No mine, no conflict, and nothing in its history you’d rather not know. For many of the people who choose Beylora, knowing exactly where their diamond came from is part of why it means so much.
What is your diamond quality standard?
Every Beylora center diamond is D color and VVS clarity, with Excellent polish and Excellent symmetry, and on round brilliants an Excellent cut grade as well. D is the highest color grade a diamond can receive, completely colorless. VVS means any inclusions are so slight that a trained grader has to work to find them under ten times magnification, and to your eye there is nothing to see. Your certificate will read VVS1 or VVS2, both inside the VVS band, and VVS2 is the floor we never go below. Excellent is what the report reads for both polish and symmetry.
D is the top of the color scale, and VVS sits high on the clarity scale, above VS and SI where most rings are set. We hold them on every ring, at every carat. Two carats, lab-grown, D color, VVS clarity, Excellent polish and Excellent symmetry, IGI certified: that is not our best ring, that is our smallest one.
Every center stone is hand-selected and checked before it is set, then independently certified by IGI, so the quality is documented, not just described. Your report number is checkable on igi.org.
The small accent diamonds, the pavé along a band or the stones in a hidden halo, are lab-grown too, and held to the same D and VVS standard. Diamonds that small are bought and set as a matched group rather than certified one at a time, so your IGI report is for the center stone, the way it is at every jeweler.
Which laboratory grades your diamonds, and can I check it myself?
Every Beylora center diamond carries its own IGI certificate, graded independently, stone by stone. IGI is independent of us: it has no ownership in Beylora and no stake in whether you buy. It is the laboratory the lab-grown trade grades to, and because the report is issued to the stone rather than to us, you are reading exactly the same grades we did. And your certificate is checkable, not just included: enter its report number on igi.org and IGI itself confirms your stone’s grades. How to read an IGI report.
Why do you show a cut grade on some rings and not others?
Because IGI issues an overall cut grade for round brilliants only. The round is the one shape cut to a fixed formula, so it can be graded against that formula. Fancy shapes have no such formula, so no oval, emerald or pear report carries one. What every report does carry is polish and symmetry, which grade how cleanly the stone was finished and how precisely its facets line up. Ours come back Excellent on both, and we call them what they are.
Your report will show the same thing, which is the point of having one.
The price
Is the price I see really the whole ring, or do costs get added later?
The price you see is the complete ring. The center stone, any accent stones, and the setting are all included together, with nothing added to the ring at checkout or after. We price it this way on purpose: no one should get to checkout and watch the number climb. The only things checkout can add are sales tax and, only if you choose it, $300 Rush delivery. What a complete-ring price includes.
The price seems low for a diamond ring. Is it too good to be true?
It’s a fair question, and the answer is simple: growing a diamond costs a fraction of what it takes to find and mine one, so the same D color, VVS clarity stone reaches you for less, with nothing about the diamond compromised. We did not choose a price and then find a diamond to fit it. We chose the grade first and then built the ring around it. Our rings start at $1,800 for the complete ring, stone and setting together. What a 2 carat lab-grown ring costs.
Can I pay over time?
Yes. Rings finance through Shop Pay Installments in 3, 6, or 12 monthly payments. Most ring plans carry interest; your rate comes from a quick eligibility check that does not affect your credit score (Shop Pay’s full range is 0 to 36% APR, and interest-free split payments apply only to items under $1,000). You’ll see your exact rate and monthly payment at checkout before you commit, and you can pay it off early at any time. Paying over time changes nothing about her ring: we make it with the same care, and it ships complete, never held back waiting on a final payment.
Your ring
How long until I receive my ring?
Each ring is made to order, which takes about 30 days from the day you order to the day it arrives: the time it takes to set your diamond into the metal you chose, made for you rather than pulled from a shelf. If you need it by a certain day, choose Rush at checkout: your ring is made and delivered by express in about 15 days, for $300. A Rush ring is the same ring, made to the same standards; your order simply goes first.
Which metals can I choose from?
Every ring is offered in white gold, yellow gold, and platinum, so you can match the metal to her everyday style. White gold and platinum read cool and bright; yellow gold is warmer and classic. If you’re unsure which she’d love, reach out and we’ll help.
How do I get the ring size right?
If the ring is for your own hand, any jeweler can size you in minutes, or use the measurement chart in our ring sizing guide. Buying it as a surprise? The same guide has three quiet ways to find her size without asking, and conversions from other countries’ sizing systems. Get as close as you can and don’t let it worry you: a size that’s slightly off is a small adjustment, and your first resize comes with $100 from us.
What if it doesn’t fit? Can it be resized?
Yes. If the fit isn’t quite right, the ring can be resized, and we send you $100 toward it at any jeweler you choose, one resize per ring. A trusted local jeweler is usually the quickest. Sizing a surprise is tricky for everyone, so get as close as you can and don’t let it worry you: a size that’s slightly off is a small adjustment, not a mistake. See our policies for the details.
After you order
What if my ring breaks?
If something goes wrong (a bent prong, a loose stone, a worn finish), stop wearing it and email us that day; a loose stone is how a diamond gets lost. Send the ring back and we’ll take care of it. Every Beylora ring carries a lifetime warranty. If a ring arrives damaged or is not what you ordered, we put it right at no cost. See our policies for the full details.
Can I track my order while I wait?
Yes. You can follow your ring the whole way: open Track Order at the bottom of any page, sign in with your email, and your order and its status are right there. Check in as often as you like.
What is your return policy?
If your ring isn’t quite right, you can return it within 30 days of the day it arrives, with a 20% restocking fee deducted from the refund. That fee is for a change of mind: if anything is wrong with the ring when it reaches you, we repair it, replace it, or refund you in full, and no fee is taken. We want you to see it in person, in your own light, before you decide it’s the one. Just reach out and we’ll walk you through it. The full details, including your prepaid return label, are in our refund policy.
How does my ring ship?
Your ring ships within the United States with full tracking, so you can follow it the whole way to your door. Standard shipping is free and fully insured, and your ring arrives about 30 days from the day you order; with Rush at checkout, about 15. We ask for a signature at delivery, so it’s never left sitting on a doorstep.
