Timing a ring and bands around a sealing date
Every Beylora engagement ring and wedding band is made to order. Standard delivery is estimated at about 30 days from the day you order. With the optional $300 Rush, the ring is made in about 14 days and then delivered the next day by express, so Rush is estimated at about 15 days. These are estimates, so leave time between the expected arrival and the day you need the ring.
Plan the engagement ring around your proposal and the bands around your sealing date. Once you know the sealing date, count back from it.
| Time left before the sealing | What fits |
|---|---|
| More than 6 weeks | A standard order, estimated at about 30 days, with time left for a resize before the sealing |
| About 5 to 6 weeks | A standard order, estimated at about 30 days, with little time for a resize |
| About 3 to 5 weeks | The optional $300 Rush, estimated at about 15 days |
| Less than about 3 weeks | Rush may not arrive in time. Email marketing@beylora.com with the date before you order |
The 6-week mark is our own planning suggestion. Size the ring before you order with the ring sizing guide. We send $100 toward one resize per ring, and per band on bands that can be resized; full eternity bands cannot be resized.
Standard shipping within the United States is free, insured and tracked, with a signature required at delivery. If you are moving out of Provo or Orem housing before the sealing, ship to an address where someone can sign. You can return a ring within 30 days of the day it arrives, unworn beyond trying it on, with its certificate and packaging. A change-of-mind return carries a 20% restocking fee. The optional $300 Rush fee is nonrefundable on change-of-mind returns.
A ring and band on a returned-missionary student budget
If you came home from a mission recently and are back in school at BYU or UVU, agree on one total for the engagement ring, the wedding band, tax and any Rush before you shop. The prices below are for complete rings in 14k white or yellow gold, read from our catalog on October 16, 2026.
| What you buy | Price before tax |
|---|---|
| Engagement ring with a 2-carat lab-grown center diamond, 9 designs | $1,500 |
| Engagement ring with a 2-carat lab-grown center diamond, 119 designs | $1,800 |
| Wedding band in 14k gold, 40 designs | $800 or $900 |
| Lowest ring and band together | $2,300 |
| An $1,800 ring with an $800 band | $2,600 |
| Optional Rush | $300 more |
Each price covers the lab-grown center diamond, any accent stones in the design and the setting. For example, the Bellagio with a 2-carat lab-grown radiant center diamond in 14k white gold is $1,800 complete. Every engagement-ring center diamond is lab-grown, D color and VVS clarity (VVS1 or VVS2), with its own IGI grading report. Accent diamonds and wedding bands are not individually graded. 18k gold adds $500 and platinum adds $700.
There is no student discount. The listed prices are the same for every buyer. Browse the 128 designs under $2,000, or read our engagement rings for BYU and UVU students page for more budget examples.
Modest and practical ring choices
If modest means simple and understated to you, these four choices can help. The descriptions use general jewelry terms.
- A lower setting: a setting that holds the center diamond closer to the finger is less likely to catch on sweaters, gloves or hair. We do not list setting heights, so use the side view on the ring page, where one is available, to see how high the center diamond sits.
- A bezel: a thin rim of metal surrounds the center diamond and gives the ring a smooth outline. Our bezel engagement rings include 30 designs, 5 of them at $1,800 with a 2-carat lab-grown center diamond in 14k gold.
- A solitaire: one center diamond with no other stones. Our solitaire engagement rings include 31 designs, 8 at $1,500 and 16 at $1,800 with a 2-carat lab-grown center diamond in 14k gold.
- A matching band: our plain wedding bands have no diamonds. The Low Profile Wedding Band and the Slim Profile Wedding Band are 3 mm bands that their product pages describe as low profile, each $800 in 14k gold. See all wedding bands, from $800 in 14k gold.
What official Church sources say about rings and the sealing
Section 27.3.2.7 of the General Handbook of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (opens in a new tab) covers exchanging rings after a temple sealing. In plain words, it says:
- Exchanging rings is not part of the temple sealing ceremony.
- Couples may exchange rings after the ceremony in the sealing room. Couples should not exchange rings at any other time or place in a temple or on temple grounds.
- Couples who are married and sealed in the same ceremony may exchange rings at a later time so family members who could not attend the sealing can be there. That exchange should be consistent with the dignity of a temple sealing and should not replicate any part of the sealing ceremony, and the couple should not exchange vows after being sealed.
- Couples who are married civilly before their sealing may exchange rings at the civil ceremony, at the sealing, or at both.
Section 27.3.2.2 of the handbook (opens in a new tab) says couples planning a sealing should contact the temple in advance to schedule it, after they have met with their bishop. The temple provides instructions when the appointment is scheduled. Questions about the sealing itself belong with your temple and your bishop. Beylora does not speak for the Church.
Our article on rings for a temple sealing in Provo and Orem quotes section 27.3.2.7 of the handbook and covers ring timing and budget.

Where do returned missionaries buy engagement rings in Provo?
Returned missionaries in Provo can buy a complete lab-grown diamond engagement ring online from Beylora, a Utah Valley company, from $1,500 with a 2-carat center diamond in 14k gold. Standard shipping to a Provo address is free and insured. Beylora has no showroom, and its co-founders meet couples in Utah County at a cafe or dessert shop the couple picks, or by video.
How early should we order rings before a temple sealing in Provo?
Beylora rings and bands are made to order and are estimated to arrive about 30 days after you order, or about 15 days with the optional $300 Rush. We suggest ordering the bands more than 6 weeks before the sealing, so there is time for a resize.
Are rings exchanged during a temple sealing?
The General Handbook of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints says exchanging rings is not part of the temple sealing ceremony. It says couples may exchange rings after the ceremony in the sealing room, and not at any other time or place in a temple or on temple grounds. The temple provides instructions when the sealing is scheduled.
What is a modest engagement ring?
Couples use the word modest in different ways. If modest means simple and understated to you, a solitaire, a bezel or a lower setting keeps the outline simple. Beylora has 31 solitaire designs and 30 bezel designs, each with a lab-grown center diamond of 2 carats or more.
What does a ring and band cost on a student budget?
The lowest Beylora ring and band total is $2,300 before tax: a $1,500 ring with a 2-carat lab-grown center diamond in 14k gold and an $800 band. An $1,800 ring with an $800 band is $2,600. There is no student discount, and the optional Rush adds $300.
Do Provo jewelers sell matching wedding bands for a sealing?
Both Provo jewelers we read for this answer list wedding bands on their own websites. FORGE Jewelry Works at 522 N Freedom Blvd lists custom men's wedding bands, which fits a couple who wants a custom band, and Wilson Diamonds at 364 W 2230 N says it offers engagement rings, center stones and bands. Beylora sells 107 wedding bands from $800 in 14k gold, 18 of them plain with no diamonds, made to order with the same delivery estimates as its rings. Our Provo store guide lists more stores.
Where can Latter-day Saint couples in Orem see engagement rings in person?
