Most engagement rings point a long diamond from knuckle to fingertip. An east-west setting rotates it a quarter turn, which gives the ring a wider outline across the finger with the same diamond.

Every price is for the complete ring: the lab-grown center diamond, any accent diamonds and the setting, before tax. The price shown is for a 2-carat center in 14k gold; 14k yellow gold costs the same as 14k white gold, 18k gold adds $500 and platinum adds $700.
