What happens if a diamond falls out of your engagement ring in Provo or Orem? It depends on the store. Morgan Jewelers replaces a lost diamond with six-month inspections, Wilson Diamonds covers small stones and some center stones, and Hur Jewelers excludes the center diamond. Lost stone: The Beylora Lifetime Guarantee covers your ring and every stone in it, including a center diamond that chips, cracks or falls out and is lost. We repair the ring, or replace it if it cannot be repaired, at no charge.

Conditions: One claim per ring, at any point in the ring's life. No inspections, cleanings, check-ins or registration. You pay shipping to us and back.

Not covered: a ring that is lost or stolen.

Warranty: “Our lifetime warranty is offered on all our jewelry against manufacturing defects and workmanship.” Its pages we read do not say whether a lost stone is replaced.

Conditions: “We require seeing the piece every six months to keep this warranty valid.” Work by anyone other than Custom Ring Designers voids it.

Warranty: Its service program is called THE WORKS. Its pages we read do not say whether a lost stone is replaced, and for loss it points shoppers to Jewelers Mutual insurance.

Conditions: “Remember, the annual inspection is FREE, but required to keep your warranty valid.”

Repairs: Its services page says its in-house master goldsmiths handle repairs and restoration, and it offers cleaning and inspection to everyone, including jewelry bought elsewhere.

Warranty: A lifetime warranty on every diamond engagement ring bought there; wear-and-tear repairs are charged for materials only.

Lost stone: “Please note that the center diamond in any engagement ring is not included in our engagement ring warranty.” It recommends insurance for the center diamond and for loss or theft of the ring.

Repairs: “Hur Jewelers offers expert repairs on all metals, stones, and jewelry, and we can quote most repairs right at the time of drop off.”

Morgan Jewelers, Orem (University Place)

Lost stone: “Your diamond jewelry warranty covers the replacement of any diamond or gemstone (with one of equal value) that is lost while it is in its original mounting.”

Conditions: A Leading Jewelers Guild jeweler must clean and inspect the ring at no charge at least once every six months and record it on the warranty certificate. “This warranty is not valid on diamond jewelry purchases over $5000.” Repairs by a jeweler outside the guild void it.

Sierra West Custom Jewelers, Orem

Lost stone: Free replacement of small side diamonds (.005 to .05 carat) or color gems that are lost or chipped, for the first two years, if the ring is inspected and the inspection documented every twelve months.

Center stone: Its warranty page lists a lifetime insurance plan, with an annual premium, that covers lost stones, loss and theft; a replacement under that plan requires a police report and a notarized statement.

Wilson Diamonds, Provo

Small stones: Its warranty FAQ says that if any small diamonds fall out of your ring in the first year, Wilson replaces them at no charge. After the first year they stay covered with an inspection every 12 months by Wilson or another American Gem Society member (its engagement ring guarantee page says semi-annual).

Center stone: Its warranty FAQ says that if your ring and center stone (diamond or moissanite) together cost $2,000 or less, Wilson replaces the center stone at no charge if it falls out because of poor craftsmanship in the ring. Stones bought elsewhere and lost or stolen rings are not covered.

Jewelers that publish no warranty terms

The Jeweler's Bench and Mullett-Hoover Jewelers in Provo publish no warranty or lost-stone terms on the pages we read. Ask them before you buy. Jared's website did not let us read its terms. The Jeweler's Bench and Jared were last checked on October 3, 2026.

If a stone is already missing

  • Stop wearing the ring until a jeweler checks the other prongs, so a second stone does not follow.
  • Find your paperwork: the warranty card, the last inspection record and the grading report.

If Morgan Jewelers or Sierra West sold the ring, check that warranty first: Morgan replaces a lost diamond on purchases up to $5,000 with six-month inspections, and Sierra West replaces small side diamonds for two years.

What happens if the center diamond falls out of my engagement ring?

It depends on who sold the ring. In Provo and Orem, the warranties we read cover a lost center stone only with conditions: regular inspections, a price limit, or proof of a craftsmanship fault, and some exclude it. The Beylora Lifetime Guarantee covers a center diamond that falls out and is lost, once per ring, with no inspections.

Do Provo jewelers require ring inspections to keep a warranty?

Most that publish terms do. Custom Ring Designers asks to see the ring every six months, FORGE Jewelry Works requires an inspection once a year, and Wilson Diamonds asks for one every 12 months after the first year. Beylora's guarantee has no inspection, cleaning or check-in requirement.

Does a warranty cover a lost or stolen engagement ring?

None of the warranties we read covers a lost or stolen ring, and neither does the Beylora Lifetime Guarantee.
